Caribou Scene on Caribou Antler #1004 Fits in an ironwood stand. Widest point to longest to tallest 7" X 12 1/2 " X 9 1/4" Caribou antlers are had to carve.  You have a very small amount of enamel before you start getting into the middle of the horn known by carvers as "crumble horn".  Most carvers do not carve caribou antlers because of this fact.  Red has perfected the etching process enough to get the most out of these antlers.  This particular piece is made from the brow of the antler also known as an eye guard.  The ironwood stand comes from a small plot Red owns in California where he plans to pan for gold some day.
