Introduction:
Before reading this article
and definitely before sending an email, read the sources and pledge
sections.
As you know every once in awhile I get to rant and
rave a bit. So far reactions to the ranting articles have been good but I
would especially like to break out in this article. Shoot me an email and
tell me why I’m as stupid as you are.

When I first heard about the torture allegations
against the Unites States I thought “of course we are torturing people, of
course we are going to get caught and of course it is not OK.”
Seriously. The government has a huge duty to keep you safe and if you are
against that, I say you're Spoiled and safe.
Torture is not OK though. Yeah I know that you think
I’m this raging Republican who thinks we should steal everyone’s money and
give it to the rich (they do a fine job of that by themselves by the way)
but torture should never be allowed.
Everyone always brings it to the extremes “What if
your kid was on a train and you had a bomber who knew where the bomb was
and …” blah, blah and in that instant I would break the rules and torture
the crap out of the person to save my child. Then I would suffer the
consequences of doing so because it is against morality and while I may
have been right that one time, it sets precedent for me to torture someone
who may not know anything at all. It really is that simple. Think of it
this way, if you were the person who supposedly knew where the bomb was
and you were being tortured to say something you didn’t know…torture
should not be allowed.
When I heard about water boarding I pictured a guy in
cell for days on end, being put through water boarding (I never took the
time to find out what the process was) time after time after time and I
pictured it not really being that affective until days, maybe weeks
later. I also pictured John McCain and how he has to walk and move his
arms and so on…a man who was truly tortured and deserves the finest this
country has to offer him even if you do not agree with the man. The Right
is right; movies do get to your head. We should ban all of them.
When I read that the torture was for 35 seconds…
WHAT? What the hell kind-of torture is that? The guy is trying to wipe
the United States’ citizens off the face of the earth, even those who are
trying to help him, and someone got busted for 35 seconds of water
boarding? Seconds? Was that every hour on the hour for a week? Was it
for a day at least? Come on now. Jackass and Fear Factor have more
torture than that. Get old Johnny Knoxville over with the stun gun on the
testicles or put the guy in a shopping cart and push him out into
traffic. Don’t make asses out of yourself and get caught torturing
someone for 35 seconds. Good grief.
On the same side, way to use a technique that works.
Keep it in mind when we get another one of those creeps trying to destroy
the people who are against water boarding to save the lives of their
fellow Americans.
It shows one thing; Abu Zubaydah does not believe the
whole “70 virgins” deal. He starts out I want those virgins, it will be a
great day for Allah, then in less time than it takes for you to sit at a
traffic light, OK I know there aren’t any virgins out there waiting for a
sap like me so I’ll tell you things that will save your country. Just
please don’t put me through that again.” WOW. Is the enemy listening to
this? In 35 seconds he gave up his virgins…and you are strapping a bomb
to yourself and going through hours of psychological torture that you are
self-imposing. 35 seconds. It takes longer than that to strap the bomb
to yourself. Start to strap it on and then OK that’s enough, good thought
but that isn’t going to work for me. Done. Bombing over because it never
started.
35 seconds of torture is as embarrassing as people
freaking out about making war prisoners wear underwear on their heads.
How could we.
It’s a lot like what is
happening in Alaska with the politicians being busted for selling votes.
And just how much does it cost to buy a vote in Alaska? $2,000-$3,000
depending on if you want a yes or no vote. No, I didn’t leave a few 0’s
out. The largest number I heard in the bribery case was $30,000-$40,000
over a period of time. Are we that ridiculous that we just give out votes
for a few dollars? At least take some pride in your crime, for cry’n out
loud. You’re an elected official with power after all. You make Alaskans
look like a bunch of idiots, 2K, you couldn’t pay me 2K to take your phone
call. Tack on a few sets of three 0’s behind that and get me into one of
those off shore bank accounts…or wait for me to retire and then give me my
own island. 2 thousand dollars. We are richer than that! We really
are! Good grief.

Don't email me if you think I am bashing the poor or the mentally ill.
Those who are not able to take care of themselves really have nothing to
do with this story. If the mother in this story doesn't have an
education somewhere it is her fault. She should have not had
children and filed for the thousands of scholarships to go to school...and
don't get me started on how her parents/family failed her.
Before you send any other comments, remember this too: Stupidity
is not in the eye of the beholder. Stupidity is believing that you are not
stupid like the rest of us. And yes, I am doing something about it.
I am posting my opinions for public comment which evokes public thought.
Things may get worse through this "public thought process" but at least
they are changing.
My Pledge
As you may notice in the many articles to come, I absolutely can not
stand people that have an opinion about something they know very little
about or didn't take the time to research before giving their opinion. I
pledge that I will not write a single article about a subject that I don't
know enough about to see several sides of the issue. If you think I am
missing something,
I'd love to be the first to know about it.
