PS2 God of War II, Avatar:

Introduction:
Before reading this article and definitely before sending an email, read the sources and pledge sections.

God Of War II

The sequel is just as good as the first version.  There is one difference though, the random sequence of buttons at the end of the game, the sequence of moves that allow you to bash Zeus' head into the rocks.

I'll be honest...I do not play many video games.  I currently own a PS2 (which I stood in line for because one of my employees talked me into it), I owned a PS, I have had a Nintendo and an Atari...I've played maybe 20 games in my gaming career.  I didn't make it all the way to the end of GoW II yet, but I did make it to the rotating spikes up the cliff in God Mode of the first GoW.  After a hundred tries or so, I gave up.  Maybe not a hundred...but close.

Staying with me this summer, as every summer for the past 3 summers, is my cousin.  He's 15 and while he can't mow a lawn without leaving tweakers, he beat Halo 2 within the first 8 hours of owning it. He may not know how to work around the house for longer than 2-3 hours in a row, but he does seem to know video games since he runs through all the ones we get within a day or two.

So back to the last set of buttons in GoW II.  I didn't see a single place he didn't get through within 4-5 tries max...at the very end here's what we came up with.  T=triangle, X=X. C=circle, S=square.

On the first set of buttons it came out as..(each letter is a separate attempt...so pretend that each letter has its own line).

I didn't beat this game but I did play it a bit...here's the review from the "pro."

It's a great game but Ang should be able to earth and water bend.
The Avatar state was awesome but there wasn't enough of it in the game.
Ang should be able to fly as well.
Switching between the characters is cumbersome and absolutely riduclous in some settings.
Background information is lacking big time.

Don't email me if you think I am bashing people who want to go out and experience the world.  I'm not.  I'm bashing unqualified people for going out and experiencing the world in such a way that they put themselves and everyone trying to find them at risk.  Take the time to get qualified and use common sense.  Wear a beacon.  It's that simple.

Before you send any other comments, remember this too:  Stupidity is not in the eye of the beholder. Stupidity is believing that you are not stupid like the rest of us.  And yes, I am doing something about it.  I am posting my opinions for public comment which evokes public thought.  Things may get worse through this "public thought process" but at least they are changing.

My Pledge

As you may notice in the many articles to come, I absolutely can not stand people that have an opinion about something they know very little about or didn't take the time to research before giving their opinion.  I pledge that I will not write a single article about a subject that I don't know enough about to see several sides of the issue.  If you think I am missing something, I'd love to be the first to know about it.
