Introduction:
Before reading this article and definitely before sending an email, read the sources and pledge sections.

I get this all the time "You are just a conservative tightwad."  OK so I've never heard that but I hear that about other so called conservatives.  Why is it that being a scrooge and being conservative are accusations that are given in the same sentence?

If I am a conservative I would believe that I shouldn't have to pay for other people, especially if they can pay for themselves but "choose" not to.  People can choose not to for many reasons:

Having too many kids before they can afford them;

Having kids with guys who are jerks and child abusers for not paying their child support;

Choosing to not pay attention in high school;

Choosing not to go to college;

Choosing not to get up in the morning and go to work at a job that is "beneath them."
 

You know, reasons like that.

Liberals aren't just the opposite, exactly, but here's the deal.  If you seriously believe that the school system isn't putting enough money into the education system then go to the school and write a check.  Nothing, absolutely nothing is stopping you.  You've done your part.  If everyone who believed this paid extra, I'm sure that would help.

I've read opinions on the Internet about the military and sum them all up by saying "if conservatives want a war, sign up and go to war" and to that I say "that's exactly what is happening."  Yep.  The military is voluntary.  It's not an education system, it's not a social program to help the less fortunate, it's a military.

Post your item in the classifieds for $10 including color picture, full write-up, posted for as long as your item is for sale. Items under $100 free, vehicles under $1,000 are free.

Back to the giving of money...if you really believe that everyone should be giving their money away to governmental programs and individuals who "need" it, then you should be the first in line cutting checks every single paycheck that you receive.  Better yet, I'm sure that you can set up an automatic deduction from your account like most of the rest of your taxes.

But wait?  You think that "everyone" should give their money.  Nothing is stopping you from giving away money except that "everyone" isn't doing it also.  Who's the scrooge now?

You have no idea what theories I subscribe to.  Please read the next paragraph.  Why not? You made it this far.

Before you send any other comments, remember this too:  Stupidity is not in the eye of the beholder. Stupidity is believing that you are not stupid like the rest of us.  And, yes, I am doing something about it.  I am posting my articles for public comment which evokes public thought.  Things may get worse through this "public thought process" but at least they are changing.

As you may notice in the many articles to come, I absolutely can not stand people that have an opinion about something they know very little about or didn't take the time to research before giving their opinion.  I pledge that I will not write a single article about a subject that I don't know enough about to see several sides of the issue.  If you think I am missing something, I'd love to be the first to know about it. If you change the subject in this email link then I will not get the email.
